Wearing Your Hearing Aid

Fit and Comfort

Hearing aids should never cause you pain or discomfort. If this occurs, stop wearing the aid/aids right away an make an appointment to improve the fit. Sometimes it takes a couple fits to get the aid fitting properly.

Wearing Your Hearing Aid

We want you to wear the hearing aids as much of the time as possible. To best
adjust to the aids try to get in a routine of putting the aids on in the morning when you wake up and wear them until you go to bed at night. Remember to open the hearing aid battery door when you take your hearing aids off before bed. This will greatly increase the life of your hearing aid batteries.
Exceptions to this are when you are going to be in the water or around any type of power equipment such as lawn mowers, snow blowers, saws, etc.
In the situations when you are around sounds such as loud power equipment we would rather you be wearing hearing protection to keep your ears sheltered from any further damage.
